Use of Links

Throughout the Community Foundation's web pages, CFHC provides links to other servers which may contain information of interest to readers. CFHC takes no responsibility for, and exercises no control over, the organizations, views, or accuracy of the information contained on other servers.

Creating a text link from your website to the CFHC site does not require permission. If you have a link you'd like CFHC to consider adding to the CFHC website, please send an email to webmaster@CFHCforever.org with the subject "Link request."

Use of Text and Images

If you would like to publish information that you find on the CFHC website, please send your request to webmaster@CFHCforever.org. Where text or images are posted on the CFHC site with the permission of the original copyright holder, a copyright statement appears at the bottom of the page. Website Privacy Policy

Community Foundation of Henderson County has created this statement to demonstrate CFHC's firm commitment to your privacy. CFHC does not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit the Community Foundation website unless you choose to provide such information to CFHC. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. This policy is your guide to how the Community Foundation will handle information CFHC learns about you from your visit to the CFHC website.

Reading or Downloading

CFHC collects and stores only the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account, or princeton.edu if you are connecting from Princeton University's domain), the date and time you access the CFHC site, and the Internet address of the website from which you linked to the CFHC site. The Community Foundation uses the information collected to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of the CFHC website and to help make the CFHC site more useful to visitors.

Online Profile Updates and Donations

If you complete the Profile update form and share your personally identifying information, this information will be used only to provide you with more targeted content. CFHC may use your contact information to send further information about the Community Foundation or to contact you when necessary. CFHC never shares your name and address information with other organizations. You may always opt-out of receiving future mailings. See the "Opt Out" section below for more information.

Sending CFHC an Email

You also may decide to send the Community Foundation personally identifying information, for example, in an electronic mail message containing a question or comment, or by filling out a web form that provides CFHC with this information. CFHC uses personally identifying information from email primarily to respond to your requests. CFHC may forward your email to other Community Foundation employees who are better able to answer you questions. CFHC may also use your email to contact you in the future about Community Foundation programs that may be of interest. CFHC wants to be very clear: the Community Foundation will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit the CFHC site unless you choose to provide such information to CFHC. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. Except as might be required by law, the Community Foundation does not share any information CFHC receives with any outside parties. If you sign up for one of CFHC's email lists, the Community Foundation only will send you the kinds of information you have requested. CFHC won't share your name or email address with any outside parties.

Children and Privacy

For children who visit the Community Foundation website, special rules apply. CFHC does not request personal information about children, such as first and last name or street address and city. When children send emails to CFHC, their online contact information (email address) is not used to re-contact them and is not maintained in retrievable form.

Opt-Out and Security Information

Your Contact Information: The Community Foundation site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from CFHC through a special online form. You may choose to receive only specific communications or none at all. You may also update your contact information previously provided to CFHC through another online form. You can not remove yourself from the CFHC database, but you can prevent unwanted communication.

Security: With respect to security, the Community Foundation has appropriate security measures in place in CFHC's physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that the Community Foundation has collected from you at the CFHC site.
