This scholarship is to provide financial assistance for a student pursuing a degree in the field of nursing. The recipient must have good academic potential, show a need for financial support, and demonstrate the initiative to better one’s self. This scholarship is to support a person seeking a higher education at an accredited institution including but not limited to: vocational, technical, trade, college, or university levels of education.

Jay and Linda Casselberry Scholarship

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship for higher education at accredited institutions including but not limited to: vocational, technical, college, or university levels of education. Assistance is for a graduating senior or a graduate of Henderson County or the surrounding counties served by the Foundation in North Carolina public schools, leading to a degree. The student must have good academic potential, show a need for financial support to continue his/her education, exhibit personal hardship and demonstrate the initiative to better one’s self.

Jenice Schlein Denning Scholarship

This scholarship is to provide assistance with educational expenses for students who cannot otherwise afford attendance at an institution of higher learning. The applicant must be matriculating to a bachelor degree graduate institution, shown academic potential, and be pursuing a 4 year degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Financial need should be a major consideration for this award.

Joe T. Hunt Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior who has lettered in varsity football. A recipient will be selected from Henderson and/or Jackson Counties in North Carolina. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and merit.

John Brooks Williams Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Hendersonville High School who demonstrates financial need by showing he or she requires some assistance or is otherwise helping the family fulfill their financial obligations. In addition, the scholarship recipient shall be a person who has shown academic potential, has demonstrated personal motivation and has set goals for his or her future. The student should have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of at least 2.0 but no higher than 3.5.

John P. and Mary Ann Wold Scholarship

The scholarship is to provide financial support to a student seeking to further his or her education beyond high school and who wishes to pursue a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math, or health care at Blue Ridge Community College. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, be a resident of Henderson County and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA. Non-traditional students are encouraged to apply.

John Paul Raywood Scholarship

This scholarship is to provide a post-secondary educational scholarship for children of an active, participating Knight of Columbus in good standing or of a deceased member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Joseph Maule Council #8923 of Arden, N.C. John T. Coates IV Civil Engineering Scholarship
